Welcome,

I’m Laurence, an interior designer and design writer, and the founder of Quietly.

I’m French by birth and English by heart. For 20 years, the Eurostar was my second home as I split my life and career between Paris and London. Over the years, I have consulted and styled for some of the leading international brands of homewares, furniture, textiles, etc, and have been invited to speak on interior trends at design events globally.

In 2017 I moved to the Tel Aviv sun, and now combine my European experience with an in-depth knowledge of local Israeli design to create restful interiors for soulful living. I design calm, balanced spaces with healthy, natural materials that benefit both people and the planet. Your home is your sanctuary and I want you to love how it looks, feels, and functions.

Wellness & minimalism

In a fast and furious world where stress and anxiety have been normalised, Quietly designs simple, calm homes that allow room to breathe, space to dream and provide sanctuary.

Our evidence-based approach aims to support your physical, mental and spiritual wellness. We take into account your personal circumstances and psychology, as well as the neuroscience of how certain colours, shapes and materials benefit your wellbeing. We also favour ethical and ecological building materials, to tread lightly on the planet we live on.

Our signature style is a soft minimalism with the right dose of colours and textures, creating warm and welcoming uncluttered homes.

We spend 90% of our time indoors…

The air in our interiors is 2 to 5 times more polluted than the air outside, even in cities. A number of health issues are linked to common indoor air pollutants found in furniture, paints, etc.

United States Environmental Protection Agency

Our homes, communities, and surrounding environment directly affect our daily behaviors and lifestyles, and together these determine up to 80–90% of our health outcomes.

HOW DO PHYSICAL SPACES IMPACT OUR PERSONAL WELLBEING ?

Building materials and interior finishes free of chemicals improve air quality and reduce the risks of physical illnesses.

Mental wellness

Our connection with nature produces feel-good hormones. Natural materials reduce stress, as well as depression and anxiety.

Spiritual wellness

From inspiring vistas to meaningful objects, allowing space to pause and reflect helps us be more present and uplifts the spirit.
